Marvel MaXimum Collection Announced: 6 Classic Superhero Games Heading to PC and Consoles
"True Believers" Rejoice: The Marvel MaXimum Collection is a Pixel-Perfect Trip Down Memory Lane
If you spent your childhood weekends at the local arcade or blowing dust out of cartridges, the MARVEL MaXimum Collection is the love letter you’ve been waiting for. Limited Run Games has teamed up with Konami to rescue six legendary titles from the “licensing limb” and bring them to modern hardware.
The highlight for many will undoubtedly be the return of X-Men: The Arcade Game, complete with its legendary 6-player multiplayer—this time optimized for online play. But the “deep cuts” are where this collection shines. Seeing the handheld versions of Arcade’s Revenge alongside the infamously difficult Silver Surfer on NES shows a level of care for gaming history that we rarely see in modern bundles.

For the physical collectors, the standard edition is a must-grab, featuring a foil cover sheet and a retro-style manual that feels like stepping back into 1994.
X-Men: The Arcade Game: Now with 6-player online co-op.
Captain America and The Avengers: Includes Arcade, Genesis, and the unique NES platformer.
Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage & Separation Anxiety: The complete symbiote saga.
Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge: Including the rare Game Boy and Game Gear versions.
Silver Surfer (NES): The infamously difficult shmup, now manageable thanks to new modern features.
Beyond the games, the Music Player feature allows you to blast those iconic 16-bit chiptune soundtracks, while CRT filters let you recreate that Saturday morning glow on your 4K TV. It’s a super hero-sized helping of history that belongs on every fan’s SSD.
Digital versions drop March 27th, with physical standard edition pre-orders opening the same day.
